I drove a Ford Tempo owned by a friend’s family. The steering column moved left and right as you drove. The entire interior felt like it was rotting as I drove, and there was a strange smell to go with the visual feast of decaying plastic and mysterious materials. I actually felt like I needed a shower by the time we got to our destination. It would have been safer to take a skateboard on the highway.
