BMW’s Personal Color Profiler brings good colors to new cars
Car color, right now, is in a bad place. Too many beautiful cars stuck in boring gray white, black, or — god forbid — Gray Nardo. Everyone, we can do better. In fact, we worthy better. We deserve it Bright, eye-catching colors, the colors dazzle the mind and scream from the rooftops that this is not a rental vehicle. We deserve it New BMW Personalization Visualizerand more than 150 of its colors.
In case you lost it:
BMWs are usually seen in the least offensive shades, but the company seems interested in bringing a bit more life to its lineup. The company has offered the Personal paint process since 1999, but this new configuration tool aims to shed a little more light on the options, giving people a taste of the multitude of colors they can paint their Bimmer in.
However, personalization is not a simple paint and recharge combination. Every vehicle purchased through the program is painted by hand, either at BMW’s Landshut factory or — in the case of American-made crossovers — here in the United States.
But with so many colors to choose from, which one do you choose? True Jalops can match any of BMW’s seven brown tones, but I’m more interested in the company’s 11 tones. purple. My pick, the P28 Twilight Purple Pearl Metallic, is the closest to a Porsche Viola Purple I can get, and so the closest BMW would be perfect.
Go to configurator and choose your favorite colors, then show them off in the comments. If you can beat Twilight Purple, I’ll commend you, but I don’t believe it’s possible.
