The reproductive artificial intelligence (AI) boom may have started with the launch of ChatGPT but this technology is now integrated into all kinds of productivity platforms to make your life easier.
AI tools can help you complete small daily tasks, which saves a lot of time. As a result, you can spend less time on admin and more time doing the things you enjoy.

I’ve been researching and testing AI tools for ZDNET for a long time — even before ChatGPT became popular. As a result, I have incorporated many of these tools into my daily routine.
So here are my favorite AI tools that I use in my daily workflow. And interestingly, only one of these life hacking technologies is a artificial intelligence chatbot.
1. Bing Chat
Let’s start with the most hyped AI tool — a chatbot. i already tried most AI chatbots on the marketAnd Bing chat is still my favorite.
Bing chat allows you to tap into various abilities in one place, including Create AI photos and informative answers on the web.

I use chatbots when I don’t know how to find ideas, such as new dinner recipes or date night activities.
Other uses include re-reading my grammar quickly before I send a message, or rewriting my thoughts when I can’t understand words correctly.
Finally, if I have questions about anything, I usually don’t ask Google anymore because I have to filter through hundreds of results.
Instead, I use Bing Chat, which provides conversational answers to my questions. And if I want more information on this topic, I can click on the quotes.
2. Professional Canva
Canva has some incredible AI features for graphic design, including an AI image generator.
In my opinion, if you have any visual content creation needs, Professional Canva is a better choice than traditional AI image generator, such as DALL-E 2 or in the middle of the journey.

If you need to create visual content every day, you won’t necessarily need the stylized output from an AI visual generator. Instead, you need tools that make it easier to create social media posts, invitations, flyers, or presentations — and that’s where Canva Pro shines.
Some of Canva Pro’s key features include Text-to-Image, Magic Edit, Magic Design, Magic Eraser, and Beat Sync.

My personal favorite is its AI Background Remover. All you need to do is touch a button to split an image — and it always produces the correct result. I often use this to create the main image for my posts.
Membership for an individual account is $120 per year. However, I think it’s a game changer that includes a lot of great photo, graphics and photo editing tools.
3. Otter.ai
If you’ve ever transcribed a conversation by hand, you know it’s a tedious and time-consuming task.
The great news is that AI is always there to help. Whether you are a student recording their lectures or someone recording daily interviews, otters.ai is a serious time saver.
With Otter.ai, you can import voice recordings and record an entire conversation in minutes. The assistant includes specifying the speaker, timestamp and transcription quite accurately.

As a reporter, I have used other transcription services in the past, but Otter.ai excels in accuracy.
The tool has a subscription cost of $8.33 per month for features like unlimited typing and advanced search. Because time is money — and considering all the time you can save, it’s a worthwhile investment to me.
Otter.ai also offers a free plan, but you are limited to 300 minutes of monthly recording at a rate of 30 minutes per conversation for all conversations recorded on the platform itself. However, you only get three lifecycle imports with a free account. Therefore, if you record conversations that require transcription elsewhere, the free plan may not be for you.
4. ChatPDF
This completely free tool will change my life for the better when I’m in college, but I also take advantage ChatPDF like a professional.
PDF files often contain a lot of information that can be difficult to digest. Reading scientific journals or research papers can be difficult because of all the jargon.

This free AI chatbot scans PDF in seconds. It is then ready to answer any of your questions and it provides detailed summaries.
Since discovering ChatPDF, I’ve used it to double-check my findings and adjust my conclusions to what was actually written in the PDF.
5. Grammar
grammar is an often overlooked tool. The platform is known for its ability to check spelling, grammar, brevity and more in your daily posts. While it excels at these tasks, this tool can do so much more.
Grammarly has adapted to the general AI world and has added new features that can add shortcuts to your daily tasks.

With GrammarlyGO — still in Beta, but available to use — you can use Grammarly to generate text. You can choose a voice, including options for appearance and tone, to help compose messages for different platforms, such as LinkedIn or Email.
While I primarily use GrammarlyGO to help polish my writing on the fly, it has a lot of features worth exploring, especially since it’s free and easy to use.
