A faster version of the BMW iX electric SUV is on display at the 2022 Consumer Electronics Show (CES).
Expected to arrive in dealerships in June, the 2023 BMW iX M60 is equipped with an upgraded dual-motor powertrain that produces 532 horsepower and 749 pound-feet of torque in wear mode. specified, or 610 hp and 811 lb-ft of torque in sport mode.

With launch control activated, the M60 will accelerate from 0-60 mph in 3.6 seconds, while top speed is pegged at 155 mph, according to BMW. For reference, the 516-horsepower iX xDrive50 starter model does 0-60 mph in 4.4 seconds claimed, with a top speed of 124 mph.
But while xDrive50 has a EPA rated range 324 miles With 20-inch wheels and still over 300 miles with 21-inch and 22-inch wheels, BMW says the sportier M60 will only go 280 miles on a single charge. However, that is a rough estimate and not an official rating.
Like the xDrive50, the iX M60 has a battery pack with a total energy of 111.5 kwh and a usable capacity of 106.3 kwh. BMW says the M60 can achieve 10% to 80% in 35 minutes at 250 kW, about the same as its sibling.

As we saw last summer, the iX’s interior is a gem – truly luxurious and unlike anything in its class. The M60 version adds the M Sport exterior styling package and M Sport brakes, in addition to features converted from the xDrive50 such as gesture control, laser headlights and a premium Bowers & Wilkins sound system.
iX series starting at $84,195 and will come to the United States very soon. The M60 version will start at $106,095. Both prices include a $995 destination fee. When it arrives, the M60 will compete with three engines Audi E-Tron WILL, another German electric luxury SUV that has received a performance upgrade.
IX arrives in the US with the BMW i4, bringing the automaker’s fifth-generation electric powertrain to the market after its debut in China on iX3 SUV car.
