ONEObviously many countries in the world have their own respective flagship — or had one. However, the United Arab Emirates is not one of those countries, but that could change. Maybe. Report Robb details how a designer wrote a concept superyacht that is supposed to be the flagship of the UAE, even though it looks like a US aircraft carrier.
Designer Enzo Manca teamed up with an unknown king who felt the UAE needed a flagship to create this yacht of the look. tThe exterior design is inspired by defensive ships, mainly American aircraft carriers. You can actually see it in the yacht’tower s – called Pry-fly (main flight control) on an aircraft carrier —which rises above the rest of the ship. The tower’s windows, like the rest of the ship, are tinged with privacy.
The term superyacht is used literally here. This thing is huge and has plenty of space to keep those on board comfortable and entertained. It is 459 feet long and 130 feet above the water. It proud 30,000 square feet of interior space spread over nine floors. There’s a private suite for the boss or the captain or something, 14 mini apartments and eight cabins. That’s all in addition to 35 other cabins for the ship’s crew. Perhaps to receive dignitaries or other wealthy people, yes gathering areas such as meeting rooms — and even a press conference room.
There’s even space on board for a small fleet of vehicles. There is a hangar described as “the shelter for the president’s helicopter,“ a small port with a submarine and two helipads that can accommodate helicopters up to 55 feet long.
And when it’s time to relax, a ship like this sure has plenty convenient. On the main deck, covered with more than 30,000 square feet of teak, there is a 59-foot horizontal swimming pool, while at the bow, there is a circular sofa with a central fireplace. There is also a spa, gym and wellness center — because of course yes.
Enzo Manca did not give any details about the ship’s power or whether it will be built, but he did tell Robb Report that interior drawings will arrive later this year. I wouldn’t be surprised if this becomes one of the most expensive yachts in the world.
