Teachers go to work in the morning with the desire to see students, buses, the excitement of a new day. They never expected to see a dog waiting outside the main entrance of their school. That’s exactly what happened at an elementary school in Houston, Texas. The dog is actually sitting outside the main entrance of the institute.

Caleb Schaffer, a teacher in the small town of Columbia Falls, Montana, arrived at work one morning and discovered an adorable dog waiting for him at the door. The dog wagged his tail at Schaffer, but he had to go to class, so he walked beside the animal. He couldn’t stop thinking about the lab mix that was outside the school, so he went back to see if anything had changed. Unfortunately, the dog was gone by the time he got there.

The dog was unsuccessful while being hunted by animal control. Sure enough, the next morning, the dog was at the entrance again, and Schaffer spotted it. The man repeated his actions, and the dog disappeared again later in the day. He had noticed how terrible the dog’s skin looked and how he whined and scratched at it.

Finally, on the third day, the dog was there and Schaffer took some action. He went to his car, called the dog in, and the hound climbed right into the car with him. He returned home to his wife so he could work because Schaffer could not sustain him. Despite this, he tried to contact several rescue organizations. There’s no space left. He took it to a local animal shelter, where it was given basic care and washed before being handed over.

He named him Clive and sent the picture to Houston Temporary Pets Facebook Page. Fortunately, Lucky Lab Rescue and Adoption saw the video and they arranged for a foster home. Schaffer tells the story to his students. In an interview with The Dodo, he said, “There are a lot of stray people everywhere here. It gave me the opportunity to talk about abrasion techniques, skin softening, heartworm prevention, and the realities of shelters. “
