Route 66 Pet Rescue in Oklahoma City benefit greatly from donations. They take many stray dogs that are starving on the street and give them a better life. Archie and Stella, two beautiful Pit Bulls, are an example of dogs whose lives have been saved thanks to donations from Greater Good Charity’ GOODS PROGRAM.
Stella used to live on the streets, taking care of a pack of puppies with very few resources. Archie was also found lost, covered with tick marks and bites. Route 66 took in Stella, Archie, and the puppies, providing them with plenty of food and other necessities.
Stella and Archie quickly become best friends at the shelter. Even after Stella’s puppies are adopted, Stella is still happy and full of love to have Archie by her side. Rescuers have noticed amazing improvements in the two dogs.
“These dogs are thriving now and never have to worry about where their next meal comes from,” writes Route 66 Pet Rescue.
Towards a better life
These two Pit Bulls are still looking for a permanent home and the rescue team wants to make sure they are adopted together. Although they are still being rescued, they are living their best lives because they are much healthier than they were on the streets. And now, they are surrounded by so much love and support!
“The GOODS program has been of great help by allowing us to obtain excellent quality food for these homeless dogs. With the money we save, we can give so much to the animals and bring more to our program,” Route 66 wrote.
