The Match 2022 golf live stream: How to watch Tiger Woods, Rory McIlroy, Jordan Spieth, Justin Thomas on TV
Bromance will be strong in the seventh edition of The Match. Featuring 15-time major champion Tiger Woods with his business partner and good friend Rory McIlroy taking on American duo Jordan Spieth and Justin Thomas, the charity golf exhibition welcomes four major champion arrives at the Pelican Golf Club in Belleair, Florida, on Saturday.
Woods and McIlroy own 19 major championships between the two, while Spieth and Thomas lag behind with one Measles five. While both pairs are experienced, only Woods has previously been on The Match. Fortunately for Woods, all opponents would use golf carts, and he happened to be paired with the best player of the game, world No. 1 McIlroy. The Northern Irishman just won the DP World Tour Championship, taking the European crown alongside his FedEx Cup title from this past summer. McIlroy may be at his best of the four, but doubting Spieth and Thomas in a team game has proven unwise in the past.
Taking a 4-0-0 record together at the 2022 Presidents Cup, Spieth and Thomas were unstoppable at the Quail Hollow Club in September. They were 16-7-1 when paired between the Presidents Cup and Ryder Cup. , and should give Woods and McIlroy all they can handle during a 12-hole best ball game.

The match will be played in a 12-hole format and will be played in a best-ball format. Each player will hit his own ball and each team’s individual best score will be counted for the hole.

Tiger Woods & Rory McIlroy: They played in an exhibition at the Big Cedar Lodge after the 2020 US Open, but other than that and the scrim rounds, the two didn’t have any experience together in the team setting. Woods is the big question mark among the four players, but any concern could be quelled for his playing mate. McIlroy is playing one of the best golf games of his career, and Woods has always been known as a media undersupply and oversupply on the golf course. Perhaps this will also be one of those cases.

There has been significant movement in this line since opening. Woods and McIlroy were actually -120 favorites at one point, but later moved into plus money as underdogs. Spieth and Thomas hypothetically should roll, however, these charity events have seen some surprises with the best hitters tending to win. That’s not Thomas’s strong point, and certainly not Spieth, which leads me to believe that McIlroy’s current form combined with a little bit of Woods magic will be enough to help them take the lead.
