The Indian Men’s Football Confederation will play two international friendlies against Singapore and host Vietnam in September, the national federation said on Thursday. The Indian team will face Singapore on September 24 before meeting Vietnam on September 27. Vietnam will host friendly matches within the framework of FIFA (September 19-27) as part of the tournament. in the process of preparing for the AFF Mitsubishi Electric Cup 2022. The green tigers will go to Vietnam on September 22 and return home on September 28.
The matches are scheduled to take place at Thong Nhat Stadium, Ho Chi Minh City, according to the website of the Vietnam Football Federation (VFF).
According to VFF, three teams will compete in a tournament from September 21 to 27, and the team with the highest score after a round-robin format will be the champion. India is currently 104th on the FIFA world rankings, while their two rivals are ranked at 97th (Vietnam) and 159th (Singapore).
After qualifying for the 2023 AFC Asian Cup two months ago, India will prepare for the continental tournament next year.

“We are excited about the challenges to come and we look forward to maintaining the quality of performance we have achieved recently,” said India head coach Igor Stimac.
The coach said he is working hard to organize the prep camp and he hopes to have a practice match with the Kerala Blasters before they leave for Vietnam.
