A Lab Mix named Wall-E was adopted from a shelter in Maricopa County after being moved again and again. After much time and rejection, the precious puppy was finally chosen. Finally, the dog has found his permanent home. But Wall-E had no idea what was coming next.
Wall-E was returned to the old shelter three years later along with the bed and a bag of toys. The owner didn’t share the full story of why he had to give up his dog, but according to the staff, he was heartbroken. He cried when the staff cried with him. He even had to be escorted out.
The dog, now confused and alone, wonders what he did wrong to be abandoned by the person he trusted the most. Staff rallied around Wall-E to support him. Their mission is to find him a stable home where he will never be abandoned again! That’s when the shelter posted Wall-E’s sad photo that went viral and the right people saw it!
Lynne Lee arrived at the shelter the next day with her dog, Marlee, in tow. She wants to introduce them and make sure they get along. Well… it was a match made in heaven! Wall-E has found his doggy mom and sister, and his sad story has become history!
Wall-E’s story and photos have encouraged others to adopt shelter dogs. We are so excited that the dog deserves to be happily ever after!
