Let’s do this again – about a month from now, in the NFL’s knockouts, if possible. For a game that seems a bit like a fool involved, that’s where things stand Cowboys‘ thrilling 40-34 win to keep the NFC East race going for at least another week.
sure, the Eagle no MVP candidate Jalen hurts when the midfielder was sidelined because of a shoulder sprain. Dallas’s answer is clearly that the Cowboys don’t have Dak Prescott back in October when they lost 26-17 at Lincoln Financial Field.
The only fit, then, is for these two teams to have a chance (hopefully) to be healthier and tackle the series post-season. If Saturday is any sign, it will be a doozy. As these two teams trade hay during the classic Christmas Eve game, it’s easy to forget that the Eagles don’t have the Hurts, or that the Cowboys essentially lost their chance to win last week’s tournament in Jacksonville. Instead, what takes center stage is a pair of teams battling against their fiercest competition.
Dak Prescott throws three hits when Cowboys next to Eagles in horror movie
Dak Prescott took home Game A with a 347 yard throw and three touchdowns in the Dallas Cowboys’ win over the Philadelphia Eagles.
Select any number of subplots. Dak Prescott will take precedence, and understandably so he will continue to ride the roller coaster this season. Prescott’s day took another detour early, as he misjudged his third throw of the day and was stopped by Josh sweats – not only for a game-changing pick, but also the sixth pick that put the Cowboys at a 10-0 hole.
Later, Prescott quipped: “It’s just my luck being here lately. While picking six of Prescott’s against Jaguar end of the game, this latest game instead started one of his best performances of the season. From that mistake on, he couldn’t miss. From there, he completed the next nine passes from 93 yards and a touchdown to give his team a 14-10 lead.
On that day, he finished with 347 yards and the best three touchdowns of the season, helping the Cowboys score on his final five properties – not a bad day at the office for a the guy whose day started out in pathetic style. “I know what kind of player I am, I know what I’m capable of,” Prescott said. “This team believes in me, and that’s all. I just have to keep my head down and keep playing.”
He got a lot of help from his defence, who fought to hit a plus-three revenue difference. To be clear, the tape won’t be too kind on Monday. With Minshew gardener Starting in the position of Hurts, the Eagles strike 442 yards. Minshew threw 355 yards and a few touchdowns, and – more importantly – converted 7/11 third pitchers into passers, giving the Eagles a 53% conversion rate overnight.
And yet, the Cowboys managed to come up with Philadelphia the kind of revenue problem that rarely bothered them with Hurts to begin with. Minshew made two contested interceptions in midfield, and the Eagles lost two fumbles in the running game – both times when the Dallas defense rushed in to give their opponents a short distance. .
“They gave us one chance after another,” Prescott said. “When they do that, we’re a tough team to beat.”

Micah Parsons spoke to Erin Andrews after a close win over the Philadelphia Eagles. He talked about the ongoing game and called for victory at home.
It’s hard to imagine the Eagles will sweat so much for this game. Aside from the obvious disappointment of not being able to wipe out the Cowboys for the first time since 2011, they are playing with house money. Minshew has played for Hurts admirably, and they still need just one win – or one loss in Dallas, for that matter – to claim the NFC East.
The Cowboys will instead hope to focus on what this win means for their own momentum. They were still a week away from coming out of a bone-chilling loss in Jacksonville, a loss that exposed all of their biggest flaws.
A week later, they won against one of the strongest teams in the league. And even if the Eagles lose at quarterback, it’s unlikely Prescott and his offense will ever apologize for the 419 yards and 40 points in front of one of the NFL’s best defenses. They’ll be hoping it’s a performance to build on in the final two weeks. And with the high probability that they will become NFC’s No. 5 seed in the knockout stages, that could greatly help them in their post-season trip to take on the NFC champions South.
And if that happens, you can connect the dots. There’s at least a good chance the Cowboys and Eagles won’t meet for the last time this season. If this Christmas Eve game is any indication, it’s going to be a treat for all of us.
