The boy rushed into the road where the car was moving, a group of witnesses suddenly appeared – took the dash cam to uncover the possibility of fraud

we did have seen these scams before, but here’s a reminder that it’s still a thing, it’s still happening. This video, originally posted by a Jerry Lim and later shared on Facebook groups, shows a young boy dashing into the roadway of a moving car so as to create a fake incident. Immediately, other actors appeared out of nowhere to assist the ‘victim’, presumably acting as ‘witnesses’.

In the case of foreigners tried scam last year, he at least ‘put his body in jeopardy’ by hurling himself against the bonnet/windscreen of a car. The main actor here sees an oncoming car and appears to ‘plunge’ into the path of that car and not the car itself, almost like crawling on the road. Not sure if contact has even been made.

But the problem for us drivers is that it doesn’t have to be an actual injury or even a collision to point the finger at you for ‘smashing a child’. Never mind that the kids can do illegal things and extort money, you are a car driver and you are automatically at fault in the eyes of many people.

Dah tak hideup lagi ke budak ni.

While this is most likely a scam, in some actual accidents the driver can even be physically harmed by the mob, regardless of whether he is wrong or not. If memory is not mistaken, a truck driver involved in a recent fatal accident with a motorcycle was severely beaten by eyewitnesses. Imagine if someone shouted “dia langgar budak” and the crowd rule started?

These children should be taken off the street, and if it is determined that it was an intentional scam, some form of punishment should be put in place as a deterrent, possibly against the parents of the child. them, before actual injury or death occurs if misconduct occurs. Here’s hoping that the police will act accordingly.

As drivers, what can we do? Unfortunately, it doesn’t matter much when people decide to go deep into your path and use a small crowd to make you look guilty. But if you have a dashcam, the scam won’t work because their behavior is so obvious, as is the case here. So, if you haven’t already, install a dash cam to protect yourself and stay alert.
