The B-segment Perodua sedan is rendered based on the latest Toyota Vios – DNGA platform, modified front and rear

The fourth generation Toyota Vios (known as Yaris Ativ in Thailand) is underpinned by the Daihatsu New Global Architecture (DNGA) platform, also used by Perodua Ativa and Alza are locally assembled here. In a world of trust where Perodua decided to add a B-segment sedan to its lineup and based on the latest Vios, what would such a model look like?

Well, the Theophilus Chin rendering wiz has once again done the job to create these renders of a Vios-based Perodua sedan. The resulting model doesn’t have a name yet, so get those creatives flowing and suggest one in the comments section below.

As you can see, Theo doesn’t just swap badges and call it a date. Instead, he replaced the entire front end of the Vios with something more in line with other Perodua models. The bumper is now X-shaped with lower air intakes, while the upper grille has been enlarged and has a similar insert as above. Alza.

Also new are the slim headlights, which are linked to the grille and come with a silver trim just in front of the bonnet closing line. Elsewhere, the vertical air grooves in the corners of the Vios’ bumper have been swapped out to create trapezoidal inserts.

At the rear, the taillights and trunk lid seem to be retained, but the bumper has been made to look deeper than the Vios. The fake air vents in the corners have also been reworked to look simpler and connected at the bottom edge of the bumper, no longer sporting a diffuser-like unit.
