I cooked for my chihuahua Spanky when he was about 14 years old and started showing signs of arthritis. Added fish oil and glucosamine which helped a lot. As a funny story, about 2 weeks after I started him on the habit, he got the first sign that it was helping. He lifted his leg to urinate for the first time in months. He was very excited about that. Even though it was basically the last function I wanted him to get back, we still went to the dog park to celebrate.

I would recommend restorapet. You can find it on Amazon. Absolutely amazing. I get bacon flavor for my chihuahua and I give it half a dropper a day (not food) There’s also dasuquin or cosequin. It’s like for arthritis. I will chew if the baby will take them.

I cooked up a blend of lean ground beef, ground turkey and carrots, some diced and boiled potatoes, plus dog CBD oil added for good measure. My vet says it can help him live another 3 years painlessly. So glad I did it for him to have a good quality of life in his final years

I have been adding Charlotte’s site cbd chewing all chopped forcour guy. Omg it made a big difference. He is a 17 year old Chihuahua. It has a goid chicken flavor. Try it. It is for seniors of hips and joints. It is this or drugged him, which we do not want to do.

I transferred my 14 year old Chihuahua to Small breed health care Senior and i saw the results almost immediately, my chi is limping from an anterior cruciate ligament tear which the vet told me there is really no guarantee that she will get better after the surgery surgery. We often feed our dogs (especially our husky, we also raise a limb, used to have 4 limbs in total) CBD oil, it really helps with their pain, especially when the pups are arthritis, at least just to relieve the pain. While to be honest, I’m not sure what brand of food as we’ve never had a need for a specific brand of food, our dogs have done well with oil alone.

Eukanuba there’s a Chihuahua dog food specifically and I have a friend who uses CBD she put 3 drops of the food in her dog food to it’s dissatisfaction, this also fits very well and it’s amazing wonder what it did to that dog

I also cook my own dog food Diced sweet potatoes, grated carrots, canned kidney beans, “low sodium” chicken broth canned chickpeas, special chicken management, ground turkey, chicken liver , chicken gizzard, burger, some egg crackers and stir and brown rice. Put this in an electric skillet or crockpot 200-250F for 30 minutes, add rice to infuse chicken broth, simmer 30 minutes or less until rice is cooked, let cool for a few hours…. repackage, freeze for later use or use. They are absolutely crazy about this and my 5 chihuahuas look great!

Avoid foods that cause inflammation. (Example: Red meat) Try adding turmeric or cinnamon. Additionally, there are dog treats and CBD oils to help with pain. Regular Epsom salt baths will help relieve pain. When it comes to arthritis, it’s not just the “brand” of the food. Omegas are added to foods to help fight inflammation to…good luck.
