We’ve tried everything on the planet from pumpkin, salmon and sweet potatoes, chicken or beef and rice, grains removed, to successfully finding kangaroo meat. It’s expensive, but it works. Lots of trial and error. These are all suggestions from our veterinarians who know your dog best. The luckiest.

Try giving him a spoonful of canned pumpkin. We feed our premium chocolate lab a spoonful a day and it does a pretty good job of keeping her stools a little firm. You may also want to make your own food for them. We do that too, so we know she’s getting good nutrition, not the bad stuff you get in processed dog food. First rule of thumb is DO NOT put anything raised or sourced from China on yourself or your animals!!! If you make your own food, make sure you check that out!! Only USA!! Consult with your veterinarian about the foods they should eat and which ingredients to avoid. Something I read a few weeks ago about feeding dogs raw meat like liver, turkey heart, beef kidney, etc. Obviously these are very healthy and nutritious for them. Again, talk to your vet….

Mine is so now on James Wellbeloved turkey rice dry he likes it. Usually feed him boiled chicken and rice when he is done and then slowly introduce his food. Having done an allergy test is not cheap but he has a long list of foods etc he also has allergies including beef.

All three of me have problems. One person was allergic to chicken and rice and the other two were diagnosed with IBD/colitis and were fed hypoallergenic foods. If it keeps happening, I would go to the vet for testing because it could be bacteria, Giardia, something stuck in there, worms or an allergy. If it comes and goes then try Pro Kolin and a probiotic like Nutra Flora. Chappie also worked wonders.

My 8-year-old had diarrhea after being vaccinated as a child. The vaccination is to prevent parasites if he goes swimming in a lake or river. After trying many different dog foods, Scientific diet for stomach and sensitive skin solved his problem and we haven’t had a problem since.

Our 9 year old is exactly like last year, it’s non-stop.. all kinds of checks and scans. Nothing was found. He is currently on Royal canin hypoallergenic dry food (nothing else, no junk food. We also use these as snacks). And touching wood since last August, he is fine. So I recommend you.

That’s probably why he has diarrhea. When you try new foods, you’ll never want to turn to aromas. You do 25% new with old for a few days and increase very slowly over a period of a week or more if needed depending on the dog’s stomach. Every dog is different. Stick with one food. At this point, you should mix a tablespoon of pumpkin puree into the food you give it to make it easier for your dog to digest. Switching foods too quickly can make your dog very sick
