The 14th week abandonment encounters in fantasy: Amon-Ra St. Brown, Russell Gage among breakout WRs ahead of fantasy knockout

Last week was an important week for the exemptions, at least towards the end of the season. Hope you took advantage because Top Week 14 Free Pick Up And More Free Agents leaving a lot to be desired. In fact, some of the best boys are still left over from last week, like Titans RBs Dontrell Hilliard and D’Onta Foreman. Of course, as we’ve seen over the past few weeks, more viable pickups will appear in the next few days. When we look at the landscape on Sunday night, it’s mostly bench WRs (read: free agents), such as Amon-Ra St. Brown, KJ Osborn, Russell Gage, and DeVante Parker.

Ours full free agent list there are more potential pickups, like Philadelphia’s handcuffed RB (Jordan Howard, Boston Scott, Kenneth Gainwell), Tevin Coleman, and Taysom Hill, but mostly potential Week 14 streamers in QB, WR, TE, and D/ST. Normally, we’d say this isn’t the type of week you’d want to use a high claim for, but if it’s both or home time for you, then do what you need to do. Titans RBs can be top picks, but let’s face it – if they’re still available in your alliance, chances are you don’t need to use the top abandon claim to get them . Same goes for Coleman or any other RB.

There’s enough matching WR that even if you need it, you don’t necessarily need to use a waiver to get a good guy, but if there’s a guy you really want, then go find him. The same goes if you really want/need Hill or another QB.

Top fantasy football exemptions for Week 14

Unless otherwise noted, only players who own less than 50% of Yahoo leagues will be considered.

Dontrell Hilliard and D’Onta Foreman, RBs, Titans. Remember them? Both ran more than 100 yards against the Patriots in Week 12 before saying goodbye in Week 13. Both are still present in about 60% of Yahoo’s tournaments, and with favorable games against Jacksonville and Pittsburgh coming up, both need to be owned.

Amon-Ra St. Brown, WR, Lion. St. Brown operated as Jared Goff’s forward in Week 13, catching 10/12 goals for 86 yards and TD going head-to-head with the Vikings. We know St. Brown won’t be doing the same on a weekly basis, but a surge at the end of the season wouldn’t come as a shock. Detroit has favorable games against Denver in Week 14, Atlanta in Week 16 and Seattle in Week 17, so pick him now as a substitute for the fantasy playoffs.

MORE WEEK 14: Full disclaimer list

KJ Osborn, WR, Vikings. Osborn created some headwinds early in the season, but it took Adam Thielen’s ankle injury early in Week 13 for him to return to action. Osborn picked up the pass for Thielen, caught four passes (seven goals) in 47 yards and scored against the Lions. With Thielen potentially out for Thursday night’s Week 14 game against Pittsburgh, Osborn has some WR3/flex potential. He has an even better outlook for Week 15 ahead of Chicago, so if you think you’ll need a receiver, get Osborn now.

Russell Gage, WR, Falcon. Gage has continued to thrive in the absence of Calvin Ridley (individual), and he was back in his best game of Week 13, catching 11/12 goals from 130 yards. Gage should continue to act as Atlanta’s top pick, and although he has a tough game against Carolina next week, he has a lot of value in the playoffs with games against San Francisco and Detroit in Weeks 15 and 16.

Taysom Hill, QB, Saints. If you’ve actually watched New Orleans’ Thursday night game against Dallas, you’re probably scoffing at the suggestion. However, if you just look at the imaginary numbers, you will be delighted to have picked a finished QB with the highest total score of 10. That’s exactly what Hill did when he started last year, so even with a finger injury, he’s still worth adding to your fantasy list, especially with games. with the upcoming Jets, Bucs and Falcons.
