You may not want to count on getting a Cybertruck this year though promise the opposite. In one conference call discuss by Tesla latest incomecompany head Elon Musk says mass production of the electric pickup won’t begin until 2024. He still expects production to begin “around this summer,” but warns that output will be “very slow.” right from the start. Tesla is still in the process of installing assembly equipment.
Tesla unveiled the Cybertruck in 2019, but already release delay many times. The company also warns that final specifications and pricing are subject to change. The original EV was said to start at $39,900 in a single-engine configuration and rise to nearly $70,000 for the three-engine version. While the automaker is still taking deposits, it’s no longer promising specific configurations. Pandemic, difficult economy, prolonged supply chain problem and design tweaks are all supposed to affect what you can ultimately buy.
This is not a new problem for Tesla. production of 3 . sample started in July 2017, but already very limit until mid 2018 as the company struggled to address factory bottlenecks.
