Technical Analysis Takes Athenia Before November Sale

In potentially her final career start, Klaravich Stables’ Technical Analysis  opened up a comfortable lead right out of the gate and then held off stablemates Beaute Cachee  and Fluffy Socks  to lead a Chad Brown-trained trifecta in the Oct. 27 Athenia Stakes at the Belmont at the Big A meet. Beaute Cachee and Manny Franco tried to make a race of it coming up the rail in the stretch but were deftly squeezed out of running room by Jose Ortiz aboard the winner, who completed the nine furlongs in 1:49.20.
