Taylor Swift Releases “I Can See You” MV

Just a few hours after the release of “Speak Now (Taylor’s Version)” Taylor Swift surprised fans at her Kansas City gig with the release of her Easter egg-filled music video for “I Can See You.” As the mastermind behind the music video, Swift is both a writer and director. She also made sure it had a lot of connection to the “Speak Now” era thanks to the video featuring the actors. King Joey, Taylor Lautnerand Presley Cash. (Cash and King starred in the 2011 music video for “Mean,” while Swift’s former Lautner was the inspiration behind “Back to December.”)

Swift invited Lautner, Cash and King to take the stage at a stop on her Eras Tour in Kansas City on July 7 to showcase the video before it was broadcast to a stadium full of fans. The grave is excited. After jumping back onto the stage, Lautner praised Swift. “I respect you so much,” he said. “Not just for you as a singer, songwriter, performer – but really for who you are. You are a gracious, humble, kind person and I am honored to know you.”

“Wow. SO. I’ve been counting down for months and finally the ‘I Can See You’ video is out,” she captioned a carousel of images from the music video’s backdrop. “I wrote this treat video over a year ago and really wanted to symbolically express how it feels to have my fans help me find my music again. I have put my heart into @joeyking , @taylorlautner and @helloimpresleycash star in it. Joey and Presley were in the video for ‘Mean’ when they were 9 and 13 and they’re back and it’s ridiculous!!”

So proud. about this.”

Dome shared a similar photo on her Instagram, along with a snap of her meeting Swift in 2010.

“@taylorswift, you are not only one of the most talented people to ever live on this earth (don’t really think there’s anything you can’t do) but you are also one of the kindest” Dome wrote. “You welcomed my husband and I into your camp with open arms and the warmest heart. The way you are so real and true to yourself after all these years of attention is inspiring. Passion your passion for your work and true love for your fans is amazing. I’m honored to call you a friend.”
