Taipei Open 2022: Tanisha Crasto-Ishaan Bhatnagar Doubles before the first half

Indian mixed doubles Tanisha Crasto and Ishaan Bhatnagar overcame Svetlana Zilberman and Misha Zilberman to advance to the quarterfinals ahead of the Taipei Open Super 300 in Taipei on Tuesday. The world No. 47 duo, who won the Syed Modi International Super 300 title earlier this year, had an easy win over 95th-ranked Israel by winning 21-15 21-8 in the match. The battle lasted only 26 minutes. London Olympics bronze medalist Saina Nehwal, who finished fourth in the women’s singles, withdrew from the event while her husband Parupalli Kashyap will open his campaign against local rival Chi Yu Jen.
Two other Indians in the conflict – S Sankar Muthuswamy Subramanian and Keyura Mopati – lost in their respective qualifiers.
Subramanian stretched Jhuo-Fu Liao of Chinese Taipei before knocking out 17-21 23-21 17-21 in a battle that lasted over an hour.
Keyura on the other hand lost to Indonesia’s Koman Ayu Cahya Dewi 13-21 14-21 in a tie-in battle.
