Months ago, an interview with T-Pain went viral after he claimed that Usher once told him he had “made” music games using autotune.
“So I hit Usher after the interview came out, and I said, ‘Yo, I’m sure you’ve seen what’s going on,’ and then all of that he texted me back. “Don’t text, talk. ” And I said, ‘Great, hit me,'” T-Pain said. Usher didn’t hit him up.
In an interview for This Is Pop on Netflix, T-Pain said:
“So I got up and went back in. He was like, ‘Oh, how’s everything?’ “And he said, ‘Dude, I want to tell you something.’ I thought he was about to tell me something real – he seemed genuinely interested. Then he was like ‘god, you really screw up the music.’ I do not understand. “
He said he fell into a depression four years after his conversation with Usher.
