Canadian police say three people, including the shooter, have been killed after a series of shootings in suburban Vancouver.

Most of the attacks were in the city of Langley, while another shooting was reported in the neighboring Town of Langley.

A total of four people were shot, including a woman who was left in a critical condition.

Officials in British Columbia said the shooting involved “transient victims”. Some reports say homeless people have been shot.

Members of the public are encouraged to stay away from certain areas, including a casino parking lot and a bus stop.

Police said they were responding to “multiple reports of shootings with several victims and a number of different scenes across the city of Langley, and one in the town of Langley”.

Earlier, it was reported that a man was being held in custody following the attacks.

In a warning sent to locals, officers said the suspect was described as a white man wearing camouflage overalls and a T-shirt.

The Globe and Mail reported that yellow police had surrounded a sandwich shop and a car park in Langley at the scene of one of the shootings.

A black tent, believed to be for forensic work, has been erected at one of the crime scenes.

Nearby, the windshield and driver’s window of an unmarked black police SUV were riddled with bullet holes near a store in Langley Center.

A white car was next to the forensic tent not far from the black SUV.

Nearby, orange hats surround a blue sleeping bag and a bicycle, while a pair of shoes and a set of clothes are taped right in the middle of the road.
