Surprising results using contemporary Fujifilm X-T5 and Sigma . lenses

I have quickly become a huge fan of the Sigma Contemporary lens for the Fujifilm X Mount. A few months ago, I reviewed the Sigma 18-50mm f/2.8, a lens that delivers outstanding image quality and performance in an extremely small and well-built package. More recently, I had the opportunity to test the Sigma 56mm f/1.4 and 30mm f/1.4 on the Fujifilm X-T5, and once again I was impressed by the results.

After upgrading to the X-T5, I wanted to see how Sigma’s modern lenses would perform on the latest Fujifilm bodies. In the accompanying video, I tested both lenses in my studio during a portrait session and outdoors in the park, where I took natural light photos with my family. Image quality from both lenses is excellent with plenty of detail and contrast. I was equally impressed with the autofocus and processing performance. AF is fast and accurate, as well as silent. I shot the review video with the 30mm lens and the X-T5, with the camera set to Eterna Cinema film simulation. In the video, I provide multiple photos as well as some camera footage that shows how autofocus works for portrait photography. After using four of these lenses on my Fujifilm X camera, I can confidently say Sigma’s Contemporary Line represents an incredible value for your dollar. I hope you enjoy this video.
