After limiting your spending with smaller Black Friday sales at other digital game stores, I hope you’re ready for something big: Fall Sale on Steam is now rolling out. From now until next Wednesday, Valve’s PC game store has… so many discounts. So many, so much. This also gives the start to Valve’s Steam Awards, with nominations now open.
Fight Steam’s front page to start watching everything. Again, it has so many discounts that Valve only offers some of them, rather than expecting you to trust the algorithm to find the games you might want. Although there are quite a few results that I am saying are not selling? Maybe they’ll join soon. Maybe after Steam’s server inevitably crashed because of the high traffic.
Because the algorithm can only do so much, tomorrow I’ll be chasing everyone around the RPS treehouse shouting “Offer! Offer! Offer!” to bring you our personal recommendations. But right now, what catches your attention, dear reader?
The Steam Autumn Sale will end at 6 p.m. PT (10 a.m. PT) on Wednesday, November 1.
Valve is also kicking off the awards season, today Open nominations for Steam Awards. They’re meaningless, like most awards are, but they can give you game developers a neater boost. And you can earn a virtual badge, which also makes no sense.
After this nomination period, Valve will open voting with the start of the Steam Holiday Sale in December, then announce the winners on January 3, 2022.
