As you may recall, Star Wars: Knights of the Old Republic II: The Sith Lords will get free post-launch content in the near future – in addition to the restored Sith Lords DLC.
It will include a content collection featuring new dialogues and interactions, a bounty mission starring HJ-47, and a newly revamped epilogue. Now in a recent update, Aspyr has narrowed the release down to Q3 2022.
Aspyr has also clarified how exactly the DLC will work in a a bunch of tweets – explains how base game saves won’t be compatible with restored DLC. Here is the full:
“The base game save file will not be compatible with The Sith Lords Restored Content DLC, but you can access any previous save files by disabling DLC content in the main in-game menu “
It thoroughly explains how the base game save files are still accessible after DLC releases, but new episodes will require the player to enable the DLC first.
“You will need to start a new game with DLC content enabled to access additional content, however after the release of the DLC and you still want to end your non-DLC play you can access those base game save files by disabling DLC in the main in-game menu”
