St. Regis Chicago, Hyatt’s new all-inclusive brand, and another new hotel you missed this month

Welcome to June. The sun is shining brightly, the day is warm, and people are on vacation near, far, and everywhere in between.

In the midst of those larger stories, there are many little tidbits we want to share throughout the month, from a new all-inclusive luxury brand you can book with World of Hyatt to the opening of a guest house. Hyatt has a flashy new all-inclusive brand

Hyatt has officially announced a brand new flagship all-inclusive brand called Impressions by Secrets. This is the 10th brand in Hyatt’s fast-growing Inclusion Collection, and we couldn’t be more excited.

At an adults-only island resort off the coast of Cancun, guests can expect a luxurious experience that transcends the stereotype of all-inclusive package holidays (think: low-water drinks, mediocre food and less luxurious rooms). Earlier this month, the hotel finally opened its doors to guests. However, for points and miles enthusiasts and Marriott Bonvoy loyalists, the grand opening was a little rough after the top elite announced the hotel would not honor the free breakfast privilege. . However, a hotel spokesperson told TPG that “the matter has been resolved and the hotel is providing eligible members with the breakfast benefit.”

That aside, there’s still a lot to look forward to as the hotel moves past its exploration of the new property. The hotel features 159 guest rooms and 33 suites in a shiny new tower in the Lakeshore East region, right along the Chicago River. All guests will have St. Regis caters, whether in the low-level Superior Room or in the two-bedroom Caroline Astor Suite.

The hotel has St. Regis Spa, gym and heated indoor pool. There’s the all-day Japanese restaurant, Miru, by chef Hisanobu Osaka, and the Tuscan steakhouse, Tre Dita, by chef Evan Funke.

Cash rate at The St. Regis Chicago starts at $711 a night or 55,000 Marriott Bonvoy points.
