Splatoon 2 players will receive bonuses in Splatoon 3

People who played Splatoon 2 will get many bonuses in Splatoon 3 when they transfer their save data to the new game. Nintendo made an announcement with a New Posts on the game’s official website right after holding Splatoon 3 Live stream presentation.

When the player starts Splatoon 3 with an account that has Splatoon 2 save the data, they will be given instant access to Government Battles and depending on their rank in the older game, start the newer game with a higher rank. The game will match them with other old people Splatoon 2 players with similar skill levels. It will also reward them with three Gold Sheldon Licenses, which they can use to get any primary weapon available.

In addition, Nintendo also revealed some details about Splatoon 3of saving data. The game will save Story Mode progress data internally to the console, although players can also upload it to Nintendo Switch Online’s cloud backup. Data related to online matches, such as player ratings and gear collections, will be linked to the player’s account and placed on an online server. If a player has more than one Conversion unit with the same registered account, they will be able to play Splatoon 3 on any of them with the same save data.

Splatoon 2 available worldwide on Nintendo Switch. Splatoon 3 will come to the same platform on September 9, 2022.
