Book these tickets as soon as possible as many flights — especially Wanna Get Away and Wanna Get Away Plus fares — are already sold out. Fares are still more expensive than a typical Southwest flight since they run around Christmas and New Year. However, they are more affordable than some of the others, especially when you book just a few weeks before the holidays.
For example, if you fly from LaGuardia Airport (LGA) to Dallas Love Field (DAL) on Christmas Eve, many Wanna Get Away and Wanna Get Away Plus tickets are already sold out.
However, Anytime and Business Select fares are still available. There’s not much of a price difference between the two, so you can choose between the two if you’re willing to spend more on a vacation flight. The 25% discount also applies to all fare classes, so the Business Select and Anytime sticker prices you see are reduced.
However, other destinations are more available. Flights between Baltimore/Washington Thurgood Marshall International Airport (BWI) and Charleston International Airport (CHS) are available in all classes.
