Book these tickets as soon as possible as many flights — especially Wanna Get Away and Wanna Get Away Plus fares — are already sold out. Fares are still more expensive than a typical Southwest flight since they run around Christmas and New Year. However, they are more affordable than some of the others, especially when you book just a few weeks before the holidays.

For example, if you fly from LaGuardia Airport (LGA) to Dallas Love Field (DAL) on Christmas Eve, many Wanna Get Away and Wanna Get Away Plus tickets are already sold out.

However, Anytime and Business Select fares are still available. There’s not much of a price difference between the two, so you can choose between the two if you’re willing to spend more on a vacation flight. The 25% discount also applies to all fare classes, so the Business Select and Anytime sticker prices you see are reduced.

However, other destinations are more available. Flights between Baltimore/Washington Thurgood Marshall International Airport (BWI) and Charleston International Airport (CHS) are available in all classes.

Of flights departing December 24, you can still get fares as low as $110 flying from Baltimore to Charleston, South Carolina – a bargain considering how expensive fares can be. during holidays.

If you fly back to Baltimore on December 26, fares will be slightly more expensive: You can get flights for as low as $141 on that day.

With the discount, the lowest you’ll pay for a return flight from Baltimore to Charleston is $250; this makes sense when compared to Google Flights, which shows flights between the two cities for as little as $423.

However, this Southwest deal may not be convenient for everyone as many of the cheaper fares for some destinations are already sold out.

bottom line

If you haven’t booked your tickets to go home for the holidays, then this Southwest deal might be perfect for you. But keep in mind that it’s only convenient depending on where you’re flying to. When searching for flights from New York City, I can’t find many options, but when looking for flights from other cities like Baltimore, I can find a few more affordable options.

Traveling during the holidays can be expensive—especially if you’re waiting to book—so grab this Southwest deal while you can. Flights have been filled.
