The premiere of Sonic’s second movie is almost here, and in case you missed it, IDW is releasing an official “pre-brush” comic – linking the first and second big screen adventure of Sonic. Blurry screen.
It hits stores later this month on March 23 for $6.99 USD and contains five stories across 40 pages — with artwork by Tracey Yardley, Adam Bryce Thomas and Evan Stanley. And this is really Exciting announcement revealed by comic book creator Keil Phegley – Robotnik’s actor Jim Carrey has joined.
“If you need some extra motivation to order your copy of the Sonic The Hedgehog 2: The Official Movie Pre-Quill comic, the Robotnik story has been led by GOAT Mr. Jim Carrey! It’s really weird and dope! .”
A fan asked what exactly this means, and Phegley explained how Jim sent the group a concept that was then turned into a script with dialogue and some amazing artwork:
“Hard to describe without spoiling anything and I REALLY want people to enjoy the fresh stories. But basically Jim had a concept for Robotnik and sent it to us (through the producer). output) a rough sketch of a page. I turned it into a 5-page script with dialogue and so on, and the art team nailed it.”
