Slideshow: Winners and runners-up for the Natural Landscape Photography Awards 2021: Digital Photography Review
Recently, the winners and runners-up have been announced for the Natural Landscape Photography Awards 2021. 1,300 photographers from 47 countries submitted 13,368 photos for this year’s competition. A panel of 8 judges, including renowned landscape photographers Joe Cornish and William Neill, selected Utah, based in the US. Eric Bennett as the overall winner.
This contest sets some specific standards, mainly images containing ‘deceptive digital editing techniques’ will not be eligible. ‘As a photographer trying to show people the value of wildlife, I’ve always enjoyed looking at and creating more personal and delicate photos that portray nature in a realistic way.
Since these types of images tend to have a softer impact, they are often largely overlooked in most photography competitions…. I decided to submit my photos for the Natural Landscape Award because I like that the competition focuses on image-based awarding of composition, lighting and originality as opposed to post-processing techniques or weird compositing,’ Bennett explains.
A $20,000 prize pool, including Canon cameras and printers, will be distributed to the winners. The entire 2021 Competition Library can be viewed on Nautral Landscape Award website.
