Skywalker Saga overview video makes it look ambitious
All three triplets are combined
So once the news comes out that there will be One Lego star wars the game includes all nine “Skywalker Saga” (can we call it something else?) Feature film, it looks ambitious out of the gate. But this LEGO Skywalker Saga real overview video show the scope of that ambitionjust as we’re gearing up to launch on April 5th on… basically every major platform.
Raw numbers are probably the easiest way to convey what the entry is asking for, so here it is: 23 planets, 100 vehicles, and 300 playable characters. It’s correct LEGO fashion, many things will later control the same, but for some children really love Yaddle (who is in the game) it won’t really matter!
“Give them the galaxy” is how one developer put it, and with the X-Wing (among other ships) traveling through space is shown in LEGO Skywalker Saga overview video, it seems pretty accurate. So the key path layout is phased, but you can unlock new planets and travel between them. The most ambitious part, for me, is the amount of work the team has put on all 23 planets, most of which can be seen in the video below. The perfect example is how characters can look “dressed in battle” with sand or snow depending on the environment.
I think my absolute favorite video is when a developer talks about how the sun reflected from a character model looks “absolutely beautiful”, when describing a scene featuring Jar Jar Binks. There are actually a lot of Jar Jars in the video! I wonder who asked for it or made it happen: they seemed happy.
Say what you will do about LEGO but they’re one of the more consistent “family” experiences of the past decade and the perfect starting point for kids looking to move on to other action movies. They are evergreen too! My baby just enjoyed the first time LEGO Batman recently.
