Skoda Superb wagon for those who don’t want an SUV


Skoda has been tracked testing its new generation Great wagons in Southern Europe before the fall reveal in the Northern Hemisphere (September to November).

The design appears to be evolutionary, with the prototype discovered to have a similar look to the current one Great.

There’s a sharp crease around the side and back, where the door handles are located, while the belt line appears taller and steeper than before.

Recent teaser photos showed that the Superb will feature the signature signature of LED daytime running lights that wrap around to form a ‘Y’ shape.

We haven’t seen any pictures of the interior of the new Superb yet, although it could use a more tablet-like infotainment touchscreen.

Previous years Vision concept 7S previewed such a screen, along with a row of physical switches and three rotary buttons on the center console.

As previously reported, the next-generation Skoda Superb will be available in both liftback and wagon forms.

This is not like the next generation Volkswagen Passat, will be for wagons only. Superb’s cousin company will be assembled on the same production line in Bratislava, Slovakia.

The new Skoda Superb will continue to offer a range of petrol, diesel and plug-in hybrid (PHEV) powertrains, although the current model is only offered with the petrol engine locally.

Both the Skoda Superb and Volkswagen Passat are expected to switch to the MQB Evo architecture in next-generation guise, just like the current one. volkswagen golf course, Skoda OctaviaAnd Cupra Formentor.

Skoda has a lot of new products coming soon. There is also a new generation version of Kodiaq The SUV will be revealed alongside the new Superb.

Refreshed versions of Scala, kamq And Octavia will come to Australia in 2024, along with Enyaq and Enyaq Coupe Electric SUV.

Skoda also has its details electric car series coming soon in Europe. The refreshed Enyaq and Enyaq Coupe will launch in 2025, while a new version Volkswagen Tiguansized model called Elroq will replace the internal combustion engine karoq in 2024.

A new entry-level EV priced at around €25,000 (~AU$39,900) is due in 2025 and will be followed by a station wagon and a large three-row SUV in 2026.

Local launch times for these models have yet to be announced.
