Just a color change for 2023 YAMAHA R25 in Malaysia, with prices unchanged at RM22,998. New color options for Hong Leong Yamaha Motor’s 1/4 liter sports car are Midnight Star which replaces the 2022 Orange Lynx option with Racing Blue carried over to this year.
Prices do not include road tax, insurance or registration while every R25 comes with a two-year or 20,000 km warranty against manufacturing defects. Each purchase of an R25 comes with a RM100 Yamaha safety disc lock.
There are no other changes to the R25 in the engine room, with power coming from a 249 cc DOHC, liquid-cooled tandem engine. Power for the R25 is claimed to be 35.5 hp at 12,000 rpm with 22.6 Nm of torque at 10,000 rpm.
A six-speed gearbox and chain drive send power to the rear wheels. The R25 is equipped with dual-channel ABS and uses a single hydraulic disc on the 17-inch front and rear wheels.
Suspension is done with a non-adjustable upside-down fork at the front and a load-adjustable monoshock at the rear. Tire sizes are 110/70 front and 140/70 rear with seat height set at 758 mm and with a fuel tank of 14.3 liters, the R25 weighs in at 160 kg.
