Silversea Cruises Venetian Society Loyalty Program: Everything you need to know

Premium line silver sea yacht has one of the simplest loyalty programs around — but not so simple that it doesn’t offer great perks.

The Venice Association, as its name suggests, has no status hierarchy. You don’t rank up from silver to gold then platinum in the program like you do in many other lines.

Instead, there’s only one level to the Venice Association’s loyalty program – membership – and everyone who sails with Silversea stays on that level forever after their first trip.

However, as you paddle more with a rope, you can start to get some really great perks in the form of add-ons.

After just one cruise, members will receive special recognition on all future Silversea trips, including invitations to private, members-only parties. They also get a 5% discount on booking select trips.

However, they can also get additional perks — and often very valuable perks, including free cruises — after they’ve sailed for 100 days or more with the airline. Silversea calls these key rewards.

Ways to earn points

The Venetian Association’s currency system is “Venetian Association days,” and accumulating them is pretty simple: You get one day of the Venice Association for every day you ride on one of its ships, regardless of room class or train type booked . (Both the line’s traditional and expedition ships count the same.)

In other words, if you sail for 100 days with the route, you will accumulate 100 days of Venice Association.

It is noteworthy that these days of the Society of Venice never expire. Your total Venice Association days will continue to grow throughout your life as you partner with the brand.

Program tiers and benefits

As noted above, Silversea’s Venice Association loyalty program has no program level. Anyone who takes a trip with the line automatically becomes a “member” of the program – the program’s only level of recognition.

When becoming a member, Silversea customers will receive:

  • Onboard recognition and invitations to private events.
  • Boat Tour Privileges (in certain cities, members of the Venice Association can request tours of a visiting Silversea ship and bring up to two guests).
  • 5% off some “Trips to Venice”.

For a second perk, Silversea customers can find such Venetian rides when searching the Silversea website by looking for the Venice Association logo in the list of available rides.

A note on 5% off trips to Venice: According to fine print on Silversea’s website, ticket discounts are “accommodating, subject to availability and subject to change at any time.” at any time without prior notice.”

Additionally, the discount cannot be used on the route’s cheaper “port to port” fares.

Silversea offers two rates: a “port to port” fare and a more expensive “door to door” fare.

Port-to-port fares include onboard accommodation, butler service, onboard meals, beverages, onboard tips, unlimited Wi-Fi, shore excursions, and complimentary shuttle service fees to the city center if any.

The door-to-door fare includes all of the above plus privately operated transfers from domestic and international flights to the ship, as well as the ability to upgrade to business class at a reduced price.

Additional Silversea Milestone Award

The three perks listed above are the first significant rewards members of the Venice Association receive after sailing once with the route. However, there are some additional and much more valuable perks available to those who sail more with the route.

Additional milestone rewards begin after a member accumulates:

  • Venice Association 100 Days: 5% off all future trips (not just Venice Association trips) and free basic laundry service (dry cleaning and service not included) press only”).
  • 250 Days of Venice Festival: 10% off all future rides.
  • 350 Days of Venice: A one-time free seven-day trip.
  • 500 Days of Venice Festival: A one-time free 14-day trip.

After reaching the Association of Venice 500-day milestone and receiving a free 14-night cruise, members of the Association of Venice will receive an additional free seven-night cruise every additional 150 days they sail. with line.

The ability to earn free excursions after 350 days of sailing with the line is what makes the Silversea program really great in our eyes, even if it’s a relatively simple program without many other perks . However, it can take a lot of travel and a lot of spending to reach the 350-day milestone; for example, you need to take 35 10-night trips to reach the milestone. But cruisers are intrigued by Silversea’s longer Grand Voyages and World Cruises, which can last up to 140 days, which can hit the milestone in just a few voyages.

Spending wisely, you can expect to pay well over $100,000 for Silversea cruises before you hit the milestone where you’ll start earning free cruises. Silver sea cruises typically start at around $500 per person per day. Assuming that’s your average spending on a Silversea cruise, then you’d have to spend a whopping $175,000 on Silversea cruises before hitting the 350-day mark where you’ll get a free trip.

However, it is relatively rare for a cruise line to give out free cruises to its best customers, even after spending a lot. Lines that also do it include Royal Caribbean and Norwegian Cruise Line.

When it’s time to withdraw your bonus on the free seven-night cruise, you’ll find plenty of options. While Silversea is best known for its longer voyages, about a quarter of its departures last eight days or less. There are currently 228 trips of eight nights or less listed on the airline’s website.

As for the discounts, please note that, like the initial 5% discount on Venice Association trips, subsequent discounts on capacity-controlled excursions and subject to availability. They are also not available alongside Silversea’s cheaper “port-to-port” fares.

Except for the above, the Venice Association program has relatively few perks associated with it. But that’s not necessarily a bad thing. It’s a function of Silversea to be one of the most all-encompassing lines in the journey. Silversea includes so much in its fare — such as drinks, unlimited Wi-Fi, and shore excursions — that it has very little available to offer loyal customers like an upgrade.

Venice Society’s reunion yacht

In addition to the above, Silversea occasionally offers exclusive rides available only to members of the Venice Society. That is, everyone on such a trip would be a regular Silversea customer — no new customers.

These reunion excursions, as Silversea calls them, often offer a unique range of events, receptions and special experiences. Sometimes the line’s top executives are making such trips.

The Silversea reunion cruise is followed by a 14-night cruise along the Norwegian coast out of Copenhagen, starting September 22, 2023.

Silversea itinerary introduction program

For a limited time, Silversea is also offering a referral program for members of the Venice Association who help bring in new customers to the brand.

Under the terms of the offer, Venice Association members who refer a friend to the brand will receive a $500 credit for a future excursion, and the friend will also receive a credit. Use $500 for an excursion.

The only caveat: The referred friend must have never sailed with the brand — that is, they must be a new customer.

A savings of $500 can be applied to a single booking of any regular Venice Society savings and current promotions.

The referral program is currently running through February 28, 2023 and it is unknown if the program will be extended.

Each Venice Association member can refer up to five friends between now and February 28, 2023 for a $500 credit. Up to four $500 worth of referral credits can be applied to a single booking, for a total savings of $2,000.

In addition, members who refer a friend for one of Silversea’s longer Round the World Cruises or Grand Voyages will receive a referral credit of $1,500 or $1,000, respectively — the person who they introduced as well.
