United launched a new round Mile Play Promotion, which awards bonus miles to targeted members after they complete specific tasks. Now is a good time to check if you’re eligible and then apply – even if you’re unsure about your upcoming travel plans.
Some TPG employees have received targeted offers. Their offer is for trips booked and flowed from when they signed up for the Mile Play offer through December 15. Unless otherwise noted in your offer terms, only paid flights due New marketing and operations by United and United Express count towards the Mile Play offer.

Proposal example
As is normal with these promotions, the offers stretch from member to member. And United may not have targeted some members for this promotion. We checked around the TPG team; Here are some of the offers we found.
I’m currently a Premier 1K elite member and received a 24,000-mile offer after I booked and took three trips in the premium seat. The minimum fare per ride is $450, which gives me a solid profit. Based Current TPG valuation24,000 MileagePlus miles are worth about $290.
TPG’s Scott Mayerowitz received a similar offer. Specifically, Scott can earn 18,000 miles after booking tickets and taking two trips in the premium seat. The terms of Scott’s offer note that United considers seats in “United premium cabin, including United First®, United Business® or United Polaris® business class, or United® Premium Plus (price classes). tickets: O, A, R, C, D, J, P and Z)” is the premium for this promotion. Each Scott ride must cost at least $550 to count for this promotion.
Meanwhile, TPG’s Katie Genter received an offer to go 3,000 miles after booking and doing a ride for as little as $100. Based on TPG’s valuation, 3,000 miles is worth about $36. For reference, Katie holds a Premier United Silver position through United’s RewardsPlus partners with Marriott.
TPG’s Ehsan Haque received an offer for 6,300 bonus miles after booking and making two trips. For his offer, each ride must cost at least $175 to qualify.
TPG’s Andrew Kunesh received an offer for 2,500 bonus miles if he booked and took a ride for as little as $275.
TPG’s Nick Ewen received an offer for 4,000 bonus miles if he booked and took a ride for as little as $250.
And TPG’s Summer Hull received a 5,000-mile bonus if she booked and took three trips during the promotion. However, each of her rides must cost at least $225 to qualify.
In addition to the above incentives, other TPG employees and their loved ones also receive the following incentives:
- 2,500 bonus miles after you book and take a trip with a fare of $200 or more.
- 2,500 bonus miles after you book and take a trip with a fare of $225 or more.
- 4,100 bonus miles after you book and take two trips, each costing $150 or more.
- 7,000 bonus miles after you book and take three trips, each costing $100 or more.
- 5,000 bonus miles after you book and take four trips, each costing $100 or more.

Best pass to use for United flights
Whether or not you are targeted for this promotion, you can earn tons of United mile bonuses by opening a new United credit card. For now, there are some sweet offers:
- United Explorer card: Earn 50,000 bonus miles after you spend $3,000 on purchases in the first three months your account is open.
- United business card: Earn up to 150,000 bonus miles: Earn 75,000 bonus miles after you spend $5,000 on purchases in the first three months your account is open. Plus, earn 75,000 extra miles after you spend a total of $20,000 on purchases in the first six months your account is open.
- United Quest Thẻ Card: Earn 70,000 bonus miles after you spend $4,000 on purchases in the first three months your account is open.
- United Club Infinite Card: Earn 80,000 bonus miles after you spend $5,000 in the first three months of account opening. The annual fee on this card is $525, but United club member bundled with this card may provide enough value to justify this annual fee.
- United Gateway Card: Earn 20,000 bonus miles after you spend $1,000 on purchases in the first three months your account is open.
While a United credit card can help you accumulate United miles, you can earn even more rewards when you sign up with one of the best card to buy plane ticket. For example, Platinum Card® from American Express earn 5 points per dollar when booking flights directly with the airline or through American Express Travel, up to $500,000 on these purchases each calendar year.

Key point
Even if you don’t have any upcoming travel plans with United, it’s a good idea to check-in and then consider if it’s time to plan a trip. If you have any fully refunded flights booked – with United or other airlines – you should consider whether your Mile Play offer is convincing enough for you to cancel and rebook with United. are not.
