Sick puppy used everything she had to sit up and tell her mother everything was going to be okay
Life on the street can be cruel enough for humans. Animals are also deprived of food, shelter and clean water. Many organizations try to help them by feeding them or providing shelter if they can. Meet Animal Aid, a great organization that helps animals and does a great job. Animal charities provide many forms of assistance to stray animals in areas around the world, such as Animal Aid doing all it can to provide shelter and food. animals in addition to providing medical care.
Animal Aid received a call regarding a puppy suffering from severe mange. Even with love and care, Mange remains a challenge that is hard to cure. Her condition was so widespread that she lost her hair, making her overly susceptible to secondary infections, parasites, and sunburn. Animal Rescue sent volunteers to help the dog. Offers of care were made eagerly as she was understandably starving – but she had no intention of being carried.

The dog stayed on the road for a reason – she was a new mom. It took a lot of coaxing and a lot of dog treats, but the volunteer finally got her mom. Now is the time to latch on to her puppies.

When Momma’s puppies were found, they were suffering from mange and Coco was in bad shape. To save both dogs, our volunteers picked up the weakest dog and brought it back to the mother. Coco will get the second chance at life she deserves.

Mother was brought to the exam table. Her poor body was covered with scabies. She needs to apply antibiotic ointment and take a medicated bath every day. They hope that with diligence and good nutrition, she will make a full recovery. Mom was scared but the medical team did their best to calm her down.

Coco was also tested. She was underweight and lethargic, so she received a lot of reassurance and love from the medical team who put her on medication. The puppy will need regular dermatological baths. Thankfully in these cases, the landlord has allowed both mother and baby to stay at the rescue center during the recovery period.

After a while, the dogs settled down enough to have their first meal. Mom and Coco weren’t used to being confined or interacting with humans in this capacity, but the volunteers got on their knees and had only the best of intentions – feeding them a bowl of delicious food. The feeling of warmth throughout the room – especially among the volunteers – peaked when the dogs started eating it.

Although the dogs were safe, they were in an unfamiliar environment. Coco was so small and fragile, always snuggling into her mother’s lap whenever she got the chance. She could only sleep in her mother’s body. That is a beautiful thing to see. Their relationship is too obvious and too pure.

After a few weeks of intensive treatment, Coco and her mother improved significantly. Coco even has the energy to play and that drives mom a little crazy. The cutest thing happened next and the volunteers were in awe. Coco watched her mother intently and imitated everything she did. If Mom scratches her ear, so does Coco. If Mom is scratching, so is Coco. Coco couldn’t take her eyes off her mother and that was adorable.
