“Our checks on the samples confirmed that the (Chinese language) fertiliser was not sterile,” Dr Ajantha De Silva, director normal, Sri Lankan Division of Agriculture, advised the BBC. “We have now recognized micro organism that are dangerous to crops like carrots and potatoes.”
