Binx is a beautiful hybrid dog with one blue eye and one brown eye. He loves to run, play, hike, and enjoy the Arizona outdoors. In addition to his good looks and adventurous spirit, he is potty trained, sits and shakes on command, and is very fond of children and other dogs.
Despite his impeccable resume, Binx was recently returned Arizona Animal Welfare Federation after just 48 hours with her new family. Reason? He’s just SO GOOD!
Binx adopters couldn’t stop praising him on his surrender form, describing his gentle nature and docile manner. His friends at AAWL concluded that the family must have been looking for a more challenging puppy.
“We’ve never known a potty-trained puppy that knows commands and loves children, so they must have been looking for a bigger challenge than a polite handsome man like Binx.” a rep for the shelter told iHeartDogs. “Everybody is looking for something different and we respect that, so we know Binx will find the perfect home.”
While many people reacted negatively to Binx’s story, his friends at the shelter wanted people to know that they supported the adopter’s decision. They would rather have one of their precious pets in their care than live in a less than ideal home.
“Everybody has different lives and choices, and now Binx can find that perfect home, and they can find the right dog for them,” AAWL told iHeartDogs.
Sometimes a relationship simply isn’t right. But don’t worry, surely Binx won’t be down for long. His new-found popularity is sure to make him the most qualified bachelor of the Arizona Animal Welfare League!
UPDATE: Binx has found EVERY HOME! His new dad saw his story on TV and knew that Binx meant a lot to him and his wife, and from the first chance they went to see Binx and it was a match! Congratulations!
