Sea&Sea Universal Case Sony Alpha Compatible with a7R Mark V

Sea&Sea has now added Sony a7R Mark DRAW to the list of cameras compatible with its universal case, Released in July 2022. MDX-αU already supports “input level” a7 Mark IV“focus on video” a7S MarkIII“professional sports” a9 Mark II“Capable of 8K” a1and its high-resolution predecessor, a7R Mark IV. Due to the “universal” design, initial installation of the camera is a bit more complicated, there are some functional limitations that need to be worked around, and an optional add-on kit is required.

The universal case features a large acrylic rear panel, which reduces weight and is intended to provide better LCD display visibility. There is a fiber optic cover, designed to protect the connectors and prevent them from falling out. ONE leak alarm unit is included as standard equipment. The case is available in silver as well as the traditional black.

The MDX-αU supports fiber optic connection to compatible Sea&Sea YS strobes in TTL or manual mode via the optional YS S2 Optical Adapter or Manual Flash Trigger, respectively. If you activate your YS wardrobe via the sync cord, you also have the option of an electrical connection.

Compatible with SEA&SEA “Optical YS Converter S2” converts camera strobe light emission signals into LEDs and synchronizes with SEA&SEA YS strobe lights. It is a high performance converter that not only outputs simple luminous signals, but also realizes TTL automatic lamp control.

Focus point move setting

To perform “focus point operation” during shooting, please make a custom setting for the focus point in the customization dial of the front camera. The focus point can be moved by operating the front/rear dial.

• The Gate Lock prevents the gate from being rotated or loosened and the Gate Lock lever is placed in a special position to prevent accidental unlocking
