Four weeks with the new Leica M11

The Leica M11 is here, and it’s made some impressive strides to establish it as a professional, modern camera while still providing the classic Leica experience that the company’s users have come to expect. If you’re considering the camera, this great video review discusses one photographer’s experience with it after four weeks.

Coming to you from Gajan BalanThis excellent video review gives a new look at Leica M11 rangefinder camera after four weeks of use. The M11 has brought with it a host of new features and improved capabilities, the most notable of which is the 60-megapixel sensor that places it right near the top of full-frame resolution. Leica leverages that resolution for some neat tricks, including lower-resolution modes that trade off a bit of detail for increased dynamic range and better noise performance. With that, you get automatic parallax correction, 64 GB of built-in memory, and live view electronic stabilization. Additionally, the electronic shutter fires as fast as 1/16,000th of a second, a great feature for those very wide aperture range viewfinder lenses. All in all, the M11 looks like an impressive modern update to the legendary camera lineup. Watch the video above for the full summary from Balan.
