The event in Victoria saw hundreds of marches from Centennial Square to the BC Legislature, begging governments to do something about the ongoing climate emergency.
“Now is the age of consequences. We need action. We need the NDP government to declare a climate emergency and we need them to start acting on the reality of that emergency. We need policy changes, not to invest more in fossil fuel infrastructure,” said Dr Don Goodeve, an organizer of the Vancouver Island Extinction Rebellion.
Perhaps David Suzuki should take a cold shower and sleep without heat this winter to know that not having an abundant and affordable energy source is like that. But he has money ($25 million eco-soldier?) and the resources to live the way he wants in a high-energy world. Fresh vegetable? Maybe he can do it without that, too. Pescods are reported:
