Sapling Victory Crazy Frazy Blame’s 50th Stakes Winner


Champion on the track and successful as a stallion, Blame reached a career milestone on August 31 when Crazy Frazy became his 50th winner with a score in the $201,000 Sapling Stakes at Monmouth Park.

Bred in Kentucky by Charles Fipke, Crazy Frazy is a son of the Medaglia d’Oro winning mare Paradise D’oro . Crazy Frazy recovered from a fourth-place finish in the Tyro Stakes on August 3 to win the Listed race by a head for rider Carlos Rojas. Crazy Frazy races in Lea Farms silks and is trained by Jorge Delgado.

On the track, Blame was one of the best of his generation. He ended the winning streak of Hall of Fame mares. Zenyatta in winning the 2010 Breeders’ Cup Classic (G1), and also winning the Stephen Foster (G1) and Whitney (G1) among his six graded victories. He was named champion old horse in 2010.

After earning more than $4.3 million racing for Claiborne Farm and Adele Dilchneider, Blame continues his legacy in the stables at Claiborne. Among his top performers are Grade 1 winner Millionaire Wet paint winner of the 2023 American Oaks (G1) Training Club, Marley’s Freedom 2018 Ballerina Stakes (G1) winner, and Nadal an undefeated winner of the 2020 Arkansas Derby (G1). Blame is also the sire of Grade 1/Group 1 winners Senga , Error And run away .

The bug belongs to the 2024 season at Claiborne for $25,000.
