Santa Anita . Park is giving the following explanation on January 22 of the track surface for the fifth race on January 23.
Although Sunday night’s race correctly recorded Sunday’s Thursday race, in reality, would be run in six turf tracks, a technology error resulted in the race being mistakenly listed as running on main track in both the print edition of the Daily Racing Form and the official Santa Anita track program.
Please note that Santa Anita’s Sunday online show has been fixed, and DRF’s previous Sunday online performances for Race Year have also been fixed.
Santa Anita regrets the error and once again wants to make it clear that Thursday’s race on Sunday will be run in six tracks on the grass, with the inner track set at 20 feet.
