“Hey guys, it’s me, Ryan. I’m here to explain what’s going on.”
Wearing a winter coat and sitting in what appeared to be a normal waiting room, Ryan Garcia addressed the public in a video released Monday. “I don’t own my phone. I can’t access my Instagram. My card was locked and I was really being taken advantage of, and I personally just wanted to send a video to the people who love me and my worried fans (and) family that I’m okay. I’m not dead. I believe in Jesus. All of those are lies. They tried to put me in jail. They are blocking my card. I can’t access my money. No one fights me. I don’t know what’s going on, but I just know that I’m okay.”
The video is the latest in a series of strange actions from the famous Garcia. In addition to Monday’s mysterious video, there was also a video of Garcia appearing to be high on drugs, after which Garcia himself stated that he liked to smoke and drink. Then there was a post on Sunday from Garcia’s X (formerly Twitter) address in which an anonymous person claimed that Garcia had been killed. The statement was accompanied by a video that was difficult to follow and largely meaningless.
Just hours after posting the video on Monday, the following content appeared on Garcia’s X account. “Believe it or not, the fight is still going on, see you in Brooklyn! Sold 4-20 Barclays tickets!!!!!” The “fight” in question is Garcia’s much-hyped bout with Devin Haney scheduled for April 20. However, between the video post and the post claiming the fight is still happening , UFC star Sean Strickland randomly inserted himself into the scenario for no apparent reason, claiming that Garcia was a “psychopath” because of his “social media breakdown” as a child. was suffering. Garcia responded in kind, adding more unnecessary drama to an alarming series of events.
