The University of Arizona Racetrack Industry Program Global Symposium, scheduled for December 5-7, will be streamed online for those unable to live. Conference attendees can still view the seminar sessions.
Roberts Communications Network will provide the stream on its Racetrack Television Network, with all proceeds from sales going back to RTIP.
“Year after year, the Global Racing Symposium brings the international racing community together to discuss topics of great importance and we are delighted to host it on worldwide,” said RCN and RTN president and CEO Todd Roberts. “All proceeds from the sale go back to the RTIP program to help support everything they do for the industry.”
The agenda for this year’s symposium includes workshops on a variety of topics, including an update from the Equestrian Integrity and Safety Authority and the Equestrian Integrity & Welfare Unit , how to capitalize on horse racing’s global footprint, improve equine safety through technology, integrate horse racing into the US sports betting market, strategies for diversity and inclusion, etc.
“We are delighted to once again stream the Symposium to a global audience,” said Robert Hartman, president of RTIP. “While we expect a large group of industry attendees, we also understand that travel may not be feasible for some and feel it is important to offer seminars This is for everyone. We greatly appreciate RCN’s help in this endeavour, and in particular their generosity in donating all proceeds to the program.”
The live streaming package, which also includes hosted sessions of each board, will be available for $149 on the RTN.tv website, allowing anyone to watch on tablets, smartphones, and PCs, as well as on TV through Roku and Amazon Fire TV devices.
