The Quality Sugar colt, who has been campaigning with many other partners, won a second start for coach Bob Baffert when he performed a mile-long children’s fashion special weight in lace-up fashion by 8 3 /4 length at Del Mar.
Ridden by Mike Smith, Carmel Road sets the fractions: 21.97, :45.90, and 1:11.16 through six furrows before opening up on the court and finishing at 1:37.53 on the fast track.

Carmel Road finished third on its August 6 debut at Del Mar.
Bred by Peter E. Blum Thoroughbreds, Carmel Road is beyond the winning horse of Unbridled’s Song Inspired . He was purchased from Bridie Harrison consignment at Keeneland’s September 2021 Sale.

Coach Brad Cox revealed Verification in progress Half-brother with the 2019 female dust champion Midnight Bisou August 27 with special six-hair girly weight for 2-year-olds at Racecourse Saratoga and Evenly colt proved willing, winning ahead 1 3/4 length.

Coolmore’s MV Magnier paid $775,000 for the pony at last year’s Keeneland September Yearling Sale, where he was consigned by Hunter Valley. Rigney Racing’s Xigera won a second starting spot for coach Philip Bauer the next day in Saratoga, winning the 1 1/16 mile 2-year-old girls field.
Daughter of Nyquist , with Julien Leparoux on board, shows early speed but was brought back on track from Monday when the fractions were: 24.30, 48.71 and 1:13.97 through six stretches, respectively. . Xigera took over in the interval after a lackluster lead and had a 5 3/4 win at 1:44.36 on a solid pitch.
In the first start, August 7, Xigera finished second in the same distance and distance.

On Sunday, two notable teenagers found the winner’s circle at Ellis . Park. First, purebred Godolphin Twice as sweet won the second start for coach Brendan Walsh, in the long-distance 5 1/2 sprint.
The 3rd grade winner is full of trash Snow Bells via Tapit race in third place when the fractions are: 21.08 and: 43.91 over half a mile, respectively. Jockey Vincent Cheminaud inched little by little to get close to the leaders in the stretch and then drove to win two lengths in the last sixteen miles, finishing 1:1.95 in the go-ahead.
The following race has WinStar Farm and Siena Farm’s Redeemer , who started his second on the ground for coach Rodolphe Brisset. The Curlin colt raced third until rallying at the final race to win three-quarters of the length in the one-mile test.
Led by driver Gerardo Corrales, Redeemer finished 1:38.97 on the fast track.
Bred by WinStar, the Redeemer came out of the mare Pulpit Drag dancer dam of the winner of class 2 and the male of class 1 The Good Samaritan by Harlan’s Holiday, as well as the 3rd grade winner Brave nation by Pioneer of the Nile.
