Eicher Motors in partnership with Stark Future
Eicher Motors Ltd., India’s leading multinational automotive company and parent company of Royal Enfield, the global leader in the midsize motorcycle segment (250cc-750cc), today announced the strategic partnership in the field of electric motorcycles with the future Spain-based Stark SL.
As part of this partnership, the Board of Directors of Eicher Motors Ltd. approved an investment of 50 million euros for an approximately 10.35% stake in Stark Future.
Stark Future is a European manufacturer of electric motorcycles with a specific focus on high-performance electric motorcycles. With a vision to inspire the motorcycle industry towards sustainable mobility, Stark Future strives to create sustainable products that outperform traditional technology in performance, emotion & design. Stark Future has a deep understanding of electric vehicles and connected technology, with several patents on its newly developed Stark VARG.
With this investment, Eicher Motors Ltd., will take a seat on the Board of Directors of Stark Future and will explore further partnership opportunities in the field of electric mobility.
This investment has strategic implications for both Royal Enfield and Stark Future, as both companies are deeply invested in creating innovative and sustainable solutions for global mobility.
Royal Enfield has made great strides on its EV journey over the past few years. The company’s R&D programs are primarily focused on sustainable mobile technologies, and some of the ideas are in the advanced testing phase.
