Private hospital in Delhi introduces AI-powered surgical robot
BLK-Max Super Specialty Hospital, a private tertiary healthcare provider in Delhi, has expanded its robotic surgery program with the addition of an AI-powered robotics system for joint replacement surgeries.
According to a press release, the robotic system mimics the motion patterns of a patient’s joints, minimizing undue stress on muscles, nerves, tendons and tendons. It helps surgeons achieve precision, alignment and balance.
The system also allows surgeons to plan an operation in advance by assessing a patient’s condition and predicting their joint stability throughout the full range of motion to ensure accuracy. accuracy and reduce the chance of implant misalignment.
The AI-powered surgical robot system complements BLK Max’s two existing Da Vinci Xi robots to perform surgical procedures across specialties, including liver and kidney transplantation.
AIIMS requires follow-up teleconsultation across all departments by April 2023
The All India Institute of Medical Sciences will start asking patients to schedule follow-up teleconsultations in all departments from April next year.
This follows a trial in cardiology in November.
If notified, patients will soon have to schedule an appointment for remote monitoring, subject to availability.
