Brendan Murphy is about to retire
Brendan Murphy, secretary of the Australian Department of Health and Aged Care, has announced his retirement from 6 July.
From 2020 he is secretary of the department, after becoming medical director in 2016.
According to Health Secretary Mark Butler, a merit-based recruitment process has begun to appoint his replacement.
New Zealand launches National Immunization Service Directory
The new National Immunization Service Directory has launched in New Zealand.
Launched on Healthpoint, this directory provides a map of influenza, MMR, pertussis and meningococcal vaccine providers nationwide. It also allows people to easily find a service that best meets their needs, like vaccination type, locality, and accessibility options.
NQPHN launches Trust Service Directory
The Northern Queensland Primary Care Network will launch a Directory of Authorized Services on its website to make it easier for healthcare providers and consumers to locate and access access those services.
Developed in partnership with My Community Directory, the directory will feature an interactive map showing NQPHN-authorized services by category and location.
According to the press release, it will not clone the My Community Directory tool; it leverages the existing platform and retrieves the organization information already listed on it.
