Dunedin Hospital Data and Digital Gets Another $60 Million

The New Zealand Government is investing an additional NZ$97 million ($60 million) in the data and digital infrastructure of the upcoming Dunedin Hospital.

This happened when Health Minister Dr. Ayesha Verrall has announced further funding for a new NZ$1.68 billion ($1 billion) hospital in Dunedin, the country’s largest medical infrastructure project to date. .

An additional NZ$10 million (US$6 million) is also being set aside to provide additional magnetic resonance imaging machines to the hospital and to complete the hospital’s collaborative workspace.


Launch of CPD mobile app for GPs in Australia

The Royal Australian College of General Practitioners has launched a mobile CPD app for GPs to manage their CPD anytime, anywhere.

Available on both Android and iOS devices, the myCPD app lets them track and browse hundreds of activities using filters for quick searching. It also allows them to record CPD hours and view their history.

SA Health has announced the expansion of My Home Hospital services to the South Fleurieu peninsula.

The service, which includes home visits by nurses and paramedics as well as 24/7 virtual care, is now available in ten towns in the region.

Provided by Calvary Medibank Joint Venture, My Home Hospital provides public hospital-grade care, including antibiotic administration and immediate postoperative care, that is performed safely at home.
